Sorry I’ve been so MIA! Life has been absolutely crazy and I’ve only now logged onto this account in the first time in weeks.
Today I went shopping for my semi formal outfit and I like to think it was a success! I’m in love with this outfit, but for me, the shoes just complete it. I’ve been eying this style for a while as I’ve seen these shoes all of Tumblr, and today I finally got myself a pair! They were a bit pricey - $135 from Aldo, but so worth it in my opinion. I’ll probably find an excuse to wear these daily! The dress itself is from Marciano and was $152. I love the kimono style on the left side and how it’s a bit of a classier look compared to the skin tight dresses I know most girls will be wearing.

This will just be a mini post as I’m off to bed in a bit! Today was my first day back at school since Christmas break and it was uneventful to say the least. The day started off with an Epiphany Eucharist (celebrating the wise men’s discovery of Jesus?). I go to a private Catholic school and we have these Eucharist’s a few times a year. I don’t mind them too much, but I feel like, even though my school acknowledges other religious groups and holidays, that they shove these lessons down our throats. I’m not going to get into my beliefs though because that’s not what my intention for this post was. I caught up with a few of my friends and managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Booster Juice during spare which was nice.
As my schedule works, I have tomorrow off so I plan on lying in and then finishing a book that I have assigned for my English class (England England by Julian Barnes). I also may print off some resumés as I’m in desperate need for a job. Ed Sheeran is the support act for Snow Patrol who are coming to my city in April and I’m legitimately just going for Ed, my ginger lover. I’m also saving up for a trip to England that I’d really like to take sometime this summer, honestly even if it’s just for a week (keep an eye out for a London obsession post coming soon!)

America Might Be Seeing More Of The Big Red X.
America’s Got Talent, a successful reality television airing on the well known NBC network has been running for six years, and now embarking on its’ seventh season, the show is continuing it’s search across America for that million dollar act. Accepting a wide range of singers, magicians, dancers - you name it, the show, up until recently, was also on a search for a new judge to replace Piers Morgan, who quit the show in order to focus his time on his personal project, Piers Morgan Tonight.
“The King Of All Media”, SiriusXM radio host, Howard Stern is set to replace Morgan when the talent show starts its’ auditions on January 14th, 2012 in Austin, Texas. The appointing of Stern has sparked controversy with many, including the Parent’s Television Council, as he is known to not hold back his opinion and choice of language and subject matter on his show and is considered “too raunchy for primetime TV”.
Despite the outburst of discontentment with Stern’s new position, producers of the show could not be more thrilled to have the personality on board. Previously set in Los Angeles, California, AGT execs have now moved locations to the East coast, accommodating Stern in New York City where he is live on air every weekday morning.
Although perceived by members of the public as a man who will not know when to hold back, Stern has stated during his show that he will be a fair judge. He says, “I take judging very seriously. When these very young children come on, I’m going to want to talk to their mothers who bring them in. They have to be prepared to lose and they have to be prepared to hear the truth… The nonsense of Howie and Sharon [Mandel and Osbourne, also AGT judges] putting through less than talented people has got to stop, and under my administration, there will be no Frank Sinatra impersonators winning for the year.” [Source]
Time will only tell how the public will react to the newest judge. There seems to be a balance between the skeptics and the fans of the addition to the show. With mixed audiences tuning in all over North America, it would be no surprise that America’s Got Talent turns into the most watched talent reality show.
